Dec 3, 2014 | Women's Beach Volleyball
NEW ORLEANS - Tulane sand volleyball head coach Wayne Holly announced the addition of Lindsey Huber to the Green Wave squad for the 2015-16 season. The 5'9", New Albany, Ohio, native now brings the 2015 class to five incoming recruits.
"Lindsey is a phenomenal student with great athleticism and the ability to perform both blocking and defensive roles," Holly explained. "Just as importantly, Lindsey brings to our program a positive mindset to learn and improve every day. She has a training and growth mentality that fits well into our culture. I have no doubt that Lindsey will thrive in this environment and we all will be better for her presence here."
Huber trained for three years with the Columbus Volleyball Academy's beach club program under the direction of Dave Chapman and Brenden Pence. There, she placed in the top-3 of 16 Ohio Valley Region (OVR) beach tournaments, winning seven of them with five different partners.
Huber also trained with the OVR Beach High Performance Team from 2012-2014, where she placed third each year at the OVR Beach Championships. Most recently at the 2014 USAV Beach Junior Nationals in Milwaukee, Huber earned an 11th place showing in the U18 group by winning the Silver bracket on day three of the competition.
In addition, Huber was invited to participate in the USAV Beach High Performance Elite Camp in Chula Vista, California, the past two summers, the elite camp in Clearwater Beach, Florida, in December of 2013, and the 2013 Club Beach Dig College Recruiting Showcase in Pompano Beach, Florida.
