NEW ORLEANS -- The Tulane women's swimming & diving team landed itself among the top 50 mid-major teams in the country this week, according to CollegeSwimming.com. The Green Wave sit at No. 15 in the nation after taking down Vanderbilt at home on Oct. 24.
After starting the season with a tough challenge at LSU, the Green Wave have bounced back in a big way, sweeping the competition in a two-day meet at West Florida and returning home to edge out the Commodores at Reily.
The Green Wave have seen great production so far from their newcomers, as Paris Zhang and Shelly Zelnick have tallied a number of top finishes. Natalie Clausen made her collegiate debut against Vanderbilt and finished first in both of her distance events.
Tulane is one of three teams from the American to rank in this week's poll, as SMU sits at No. 7 and East Carolina at No. 13. The Green Wave host the Mustangs on Sunday, Nov. 8 at 10 a.m.
