Question: What made you choose Tulane?
Answer: Originally I chose Tulane because of the academics. It was a great opportunity for me to better my education. Tulane is known for its education, and its networking outreach, so it came down to LSU or Tulane, and I ended up choosing here.
Q: What has been your best memory at Tulane so far?
A: My best memory would be the bowl game when we got to play against ULL in the Superdome. It's something that motivates me to keep working hard today both on the field and in the classroom. It's something I want my teammates to be able to feel this year.
Q: Where is your favorite place to go in New Orleans?
A: My favorite place is to go on the Lakeshore by the Lake. Landry's is my favorite restaurant so whenever my parents come I try to get them to take me there. I like to just go up there and hang out.
Q: How rewarding was it to get make your first career start after putting in so many hours of work over the past 4 plus years?
A: I kind of had a flashback of all the sacrifice, sweat, long hours, of just doing everything it takes, despite all of the people telling you that it wasn't going to happen, and it wasn't going to pay off. I stayed the course, and it all paid off.
Q: What was it like making your first career start against a ranked opponent in a hostile environment?
A: I mean it's go big or go home. I got the opportunity I wanted, and it was against a great opponent. My preparation wasn't any different because I prepare every week like I'm going to start. I had to try to keep my emotions from getting too high or too low, I had to keep an even keel. I wasn't nervous, but I didn't want to get over excited, just .
Q: What made you choose Finance as a major?
A: I'm really good with numbers and finance is something comes really easily to me. Originally I was in accounting and then I switched over to finance. They're like brothers and sisters to each other so it was a smooth transition.
Q: Do you have any specific goals for yourself this year?
A: Well I already accomplished one by throwing my first career touchdown against Navy, I made my first career start, and next would be to get my first win (as a starter). Ultimately my team goals trump my personal goals, and I want to make sure we get to a bowl game this year.
Q: If you were stuck on a deserted island, and you only had three things, what would they be?
A: First I would need food, second I would need water, third I would need to be able to make a fire.
Q: What are your plans for after Tulane?
A: I still don't know. I'm looking into the graduate assistant coaching route. I love being around my teammates, and helping the younger kids, and motivating them. Coaching is always an option. Finance is my major and I'm really good at it. I wouldn't mind working at a commercial bank, or doing investment financing, because making money using other peoples money is pretty interesting.
Fun fact: I love playing videogames. Sometimes I need to tell myself not to overindulge in them, but when I get some free time I might play for 2-3 hours. FIFA is my go to.
