
Bowling’s Michelle Ng Earns Second NTCA All-America Honor

BATON ROUGE, La. – Tulane bowling junior Michelle Ng was named an All-America Honorable Mention by the National Tenpin Coaches Association, it was announced Wednesday night at the NCAA Bowling Awards Dinner prior to the NCAA Championships.
This is the second NTCA All-America honor for Ng, who became Tulane's first bowling athlete to earn All-America recognition as an honorable mention selection in 2016.
In 2016-17, Ng led Tulane with a 199.82 pin average, and compiled 9,791 total pins. She bowled scores better than 200 in 25 matches, including a season-high 277 in the Allstate Sugar Bowl Collegiate Bowling Classic, where she earned All-Tournament Team honors.
The Singapore native led the Green Wave this season to its highest finish at the Southland League Bowling Championship (fourth), its highest-ever national ranking at 13th in February, and its second consecutive appearance in the USBC Intercollegiate Team Sectional Qualifier. Ng paced the Wave to two tournament championships – at Jackson State and at home in the Allstate Sugar Bowl Collegiate Bowling Classic.
