Marks second straight summer
NEW ORLEANS – Tulane beach volleyball head coach Wayne Holly was once again selected to lend his expertise to the junior national scene this summer, returning for the second straight year to head the Future Stars Beach National Team in California.
"It's a great honor to be selected to coach for our USA teams," Holly stated. "I'm looking forward to teaching and learning with the next generation of great beach volleyball players. I'm grateful to USA Volleyball for the trust they've placed in me to mentor these great young people and thankful to Tulane University for affording me the flexibility to accept the opportunity."
The USA Beach Volleyball High Performance Program is the most prestigious junior beach volleyball program in the country and is recognized as one of the premier international pipeline development programs in the world.
USA High Performance identifies beach volleyball standouts based off of four zonal tryouts. In May, the standouts were invited to California for a three-day camp where Holly selected the top-10 from that group to comprise the national team and train with USA beach volleyball this summer.
Ultimately, the summer training will culminate with a week-long national team camp at Hermosa Beach, California, from July 23-30, followed immediately by the USA Junior Beach Championships, July 31-August 2.
