Bowling Freshman Madison McCall Shows Well at USBC Junior Gold Championships

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane bowling incoming freshman Madison McCall turned in a strong performance at the United State Bowling Congress Junior Gold Championships last week in Cleveland, Ohio, competing in the advancing rounds of the tournament.

McCall, a native of Myrtle Beach, S.C., is the first Tulane bowling incoming freshman to move through the qualifying rounds of the tournament. She posted average scores of 176.75, 191.38, 189.75 and 185.38 in four four-game qualifying matches, and placed 108th in the fourth qualifying match above the cut line to the advancers round games. In the Advancers Round, she placed 103rd with a five-game average score of 184.90.

McCall will begin classes at Tulane this coming fall where she will compete for the Green Wave bowling program. She also competed in the Teen Masters tournament, held July 1-7 in Richmond, Va., where she placed 12th.
