NEW ORLEANS – Tulane Athletics is now accepting nominations for its 2018 Hall of Fame Class. Nominations are open until 5 p.m. CT on Saturday, March 10.

The Tulane Athletics Hall of Fame recognizes student-athletes, coaches, administrators, teams and contributors from NCAA Championship-sponsored sports who have rendered outstanding service in the field of athletics and in service to Tulane. In addition to service in the field of athletics, nominees must possess qualifications such as outstanding sportsmanship, character and integrity and must have brought great distinction to Tulane.

To nominate, click on the nomination form link and fill it out as completely as possible. To forward any supporting information, including clippings, statistics, copies of photographs and letters of endorsement, please send an e-mail to Evan Drexler, Assistant Director of Strategic Communications, at edrexler@tulane.edu. Supporting information will not be returned. All information will be verified before being forwarded to the Hall of Fame Selection Committee for consideration.

Nominations are being accepted in the following categories:

Student-Athletes
- Must have played his/her last collegiate season at least five (5) years prior to year of nomination. 2018 nominees must have completed their eligibility with the 2012-13 academic year.
- Must have completed at least two (2) years of eligibility at Tulane.
- Must have demonstrated character and leadership throughout his/her career.
Coaches & Administrators
- Must have departed from his/her position in the athletics department five (5) years prior to the specific role for which the person is nominated.
Teams
- Must have achieved superior success on the playing field and brought national recognition to Tulane to be considered in their own category. Teams are eligible ten (10) years after completion of the respective season. Examples include, but are not limited to: major bowl victories, national championships, undefeated seasons, a top-10 national ranking in the final polls, advanced far into an NCAA Championship (e.g., Elite Eight in basketball, College World Series in baseball).Â
Billy Slatten Award
- Can be any individual who has given extraordinary service, commitment and support to Tulane University and its student-athletes.
