NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane swimming and diving team returns to action this weekend as it heads to Houston to compete in the three-day Phill Hansel Invitational, beginning on Friday at 10 a.m. at the Campus Recreation & Wellness Center Natatorium.Â
Â
Tulane will compete against 11 teams in the Invitational, including: Air Force, Colorado State, Houston, Incarnate Word, New Mexico, Nevada, North Texas, Northern Colorado, Rice, Vanderbilt and Washington State.Â
Â
Tulane faced Houston earlier this season in the Green Wave's home opener, falling just short of a win against the defending American Athletic Conference Champions with a 151.5-148.5 score.Â
Â
The last time the Green Wave hit the water was on the road against Georgia Southern, with the team earning its second win of the season. Tulane won 14 of the 16 events for a final 210-90 score.
Â
Tulane competed in the Phill Hansel Invitational in the 2017 season, earning a final third-place finish among 10 teams while earning five top-eight finishes and setting a new school record.Â
Â
Complete results from the Phill Hansel Invitational will be posted following the completion of the meet.
