"This is the best year we've ever had. We're one win shy of our all-time winning record against a tough schedule, and we were one swing away from being in the semis in what is the deepest conference in the nation. There's lot to be proud of.
"It's an extraordinary accomplishment by Maddy and Kaylie. I can't say enough about them. They came out and got a bunch of wins for us."

After going winless in day one of the competition, the Green Wave got back on track against No. 10 seed UAB, winning 4-1 to open the second day.
Junior Anna Chin and freshman Lauren Orlich were first to finish, taking down UAB's No. 3 pair in straight sets, 21-15, 21-15, to give Tulane a 1-0 lead. The Green Wave extended their advantage to 2-0 with a win in flight two, as senior Lan Nguyen and sophomore Tarin Mergener earned a straight-set win by a score of 21-17, 21-19.
UAB grabbed its lone flight win at the four. Freshmen Gabriella Becerra and Rio Frohoff fell in straight sets, 21-15, 21-15, and Tulane's lead dropped to 2-1.
The Green Wave's pairs at flights one and five stopped UAB there, however. Freshmen Ashley Delgado and Addison Hermstad, playing at the five, won 21-15, 22-10 to clinch the dual win before the No. 1 pair of senior Madeline Mertz and Kaylie McHugh won 24-22, 21-18 to cap victory.
