Tulane Signs Graduate Transfer Canteen

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane University football announced today the addition of graduate transfer wide receiver Freddy Canteen II to the 2018 roster.
Canteen comes to Tulane after he spent the 2014 and 2015 seasons at Michigan where played in 15 games and earned three starts. Following his two seasons at Michigan, Canteen transferred to Notre Dame but only saw action in three games during his first season in 2017 with the Irish as he battled injuries.
Prior to beginning his collegiate career, Canteen posted an impressive prep career at Eastern Christian High School in Elkton, Maryland, where earned a consensus four-star rating. He also was ranked as the No. 298 overall player and the No. 41 wide receiver in the country.
Canteen, who is listed at 6 feet tall and 192 pounds, has tremendous speed and was clocked at 4.43 seconds in the 40-yard dash while in high school.
