Tulane Swimming and Diving Earns CSCAA Scholar All-America Award
Jun 20, 2018 | Women's Swimming and Diving
NEW ORLEANS – The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association recognized the Tulane University swimming and diving team as a Scholar All-America team.
Â
To qualify, teams must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the spring semester. The Green Wave swimming and diving team finished with a GPA of 3.50.
Â
"Our women continue to astound me with their ambition and success in the classroom," head coach Katie Robinson said. "Tulane has a national and international level of prestige academically and for our team to succeed in this way is truly something. Many of our women choose to have a double major too. My hat goes off to them as well as our academic advisor, Micahla Williams, and Charvi Greer, our Associate Athletic Director of Academic Services. Their selfless leadership in providing our women with the resources needed for success is outstanding."
The CSCAA handed out the distinction to 710 teams across all NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA divisions. The teams represent 476 institutions from across all NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA Divisions.Â
Â
The American Athletic Conference was one of eight other leagues, which saw each of its women's programs chosen.
