NEW ORLEANS - This year, the Ben Weiner Director of Athletics Chair Troy Dannen will visit with individuals both past and present that have played a role in enhancing the level of Tulane University Athletics in a new segment called Wave Talk.
The next guest of Wave Talk is Tulane women's volleyball outside hitter Lexie Douglas.
As a sophomore in 2018, Douglas played a key role in helping the Green Wave to 29-9 record. The 29 wins were the third most in school history.
Douglas' 2018 campaign saw her play in 138 sets in 38 matches. She led Tulane with 352 total kills, averaging 2.55 per set and recorded a season-high 15 kills in the team's non-conference victory over Clemson (9/15).
Doulgas also proved to be a force at the net as she totaled 64 blocks (0.46 per set) in the year, earning a season-high seven in Tulane's win over Rutgers (9/7). Following the year, she earned All-Louisiana honorable mention and a spot on the conference weekly honor roll on one occasion (9/17).
