Bowling Ends Year Ranked No. 14 in Final NTCA Poll

NEW ORLEANS – After making it to the second day of the Southland Bowling League championship to cap another solid season, the Tulane Green Wave bowling team will head into the offseason ranked No. 14 in the final National Tenpin Coaches Association Top 25 poll that was released on Thursday.

The Green Wave finished with 278 total points in the final tally for the season, finishing the campaign as one of five SBL teams to end the year in the top 15. Tulane spent much of the year in the top 10, rising to a program-high ranking of No. 6 at one point.

Tulane finished with a record of 64-55, earning a pair of top five finishes and seven finishes in the top 10.

National champion and league member Stephen F. Austin moved to No. 1, followed by runner-up Vanderbilt, McKendree, Nebraska and Sam Houston State rounding out to top five. Arkansas State finished at No. 6, followed by Tulane at No. 14, Louisiana Tech at No. 22 and Youngstown State rounding out the SBL representatives.
