NEW ORLEANS – Nine former Tulane University student-athletes entered Week 1 of the National Football League's 100th season on a team rosters. Listed below is a look back at each of their performances from Week 1 of the NFL season.

Dontrell Hilliard, Running Back, Cleveland Browns
Tanzel Smart, Nose Tackle, Los Angeles Rams
Ryan Griffin, Quarterback, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Rod Teamer, Safety, Los Angeles Chargers
Parry Nickerson, Cornerback, Seattle Seahawks
Charles Jones, Tight End, Jacksonville Jaguars
John Leglue, Offensive Lineman, New Orleans Saints
Ryan Grant, Wide Receiver, Oakland Raiders

Cairo Santos, Kicker, Tennessee Titans
- Went 2-2 on field goal attempts and 5-5 on extra points.
- Made a 53-yard field, one yard off his career-long.
- The Tennessee Titans defeated the Cleveland Browns, 43-13.
- Tennessee will host the Indianapolis Colts in Week 2.
Dontrell Hilliard, Running Back, Cleveland Browns
- Rushed for four yards and his first career touchdown.
- Added one reception for 14 yards and an 18-yard punt return.
- The Browns lost to the Titans, 43-13.
- Cleveland will play the New York Jets in Week 2.
Tanzel Smart, Nose Tackle, Los Angeles Rams
- Played 14 snaps off the bench in a 30-27 win over the Carolina Panthers.
- The Rams will host the New Orleans Saints in Week 2.
Ryan Griffin, Quarterback, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- Did not see any action in the 31-17 lost to the San Francisco 49ers.
- Tampa Bay will travel to play the Carolina Panthers in Week 2.
Rod Teamer, Safety, Los Angeles Chargers
- Inactive in the Chargers' 30-24 overtime win over the Indianapolis Colts.
- Los Angeles will travel to play the Detroit Lions in Week 2.
Parry Nickerson, Cornerback, Seattle Seahawks
- Inactive in Seattle's 21-20 victory against the Cincinnati Bengals.
- The Seahawks will travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers in Week 2.
Charles Jones, Tight End, Jacksonville Jaguars
- On the practice squad for the Jaguars.
- Jacksonville will take on the Houston Texans in Week 2.
John Leglue, Offensive Lineman, New Orleans Saints
- Will play the Houston Texans in the first game of the Monday Night Football doubleheader in Week 1.
- The Saints will play the Rams in Week 2.
Ryan Grant, Wide Receiver, Oakland Raiders
- Will play the Denver Broncos in the second game of the Monday doubleheader in Week 1.
- The Raiders will host the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 2.
