Swimming & Diving's Stancil to Appear in You Night's Runway Show

NEW ORLEANS — Tulane swimming & diving head coach Leah Stancil will be featured in You Night's 2020 Cancer Survivor Runway Show & Celebration, which is set to air Nov. 6-8.
The three-day broadcast will feature three runway shows, performances from local musicians, giveaways and inspirational stories of the You Night 2020 Role Models.
"I am slightly nervous and very excited to see how everything will come together," Stancil said. "The cancer journey is a tough journey but it has led me to extraordinary friendships. This Runway Show is just a culmination of how our friendships have grown and the various opportunities I have been given to have a greater insight into what is possible. When I moved here two years ago, I would never have imagined that I would be diagnosed with cancer, furthermore be part of a Runway Show. You never know what life brings you and sometimes you just have to make the most of what you get. I am grateful for the opportunity – you only live once!"
You Night's runway program is focused on providing empowering group experiences to help women embrace life beyond cancer.

"You Night is a sisterhood of support for women who have had or are currently battling any type of cancer. We offer unique year-round programs that are alternatives to traditional cancer survivor support groups. Our method behind our programs is to bring groups of women together to experience empowering activities that allow them to see themselves differently. The bond that is created along the way not only allows for fun and life-changing experiences, but results in lifelong friendships that will endure well past the program experience."
