NEW ORLEANS – Tulane University quarterback Michael Pratt was named to the 247Sports.com Freshman All-America team on Wednesday.
Pratt was the only player from the American Athletic Conference named to the Freshman All-America team.
The Boca Raton, Florida, native finished the season with 1,806 yards passing and 20 touchdowns. Pratt also proved to be a threat on the ground, as he rushed for 229 yards and scored eight touchdowns. In total, Pratt accounted for 168 points which ranked 14th nationally.
Pratt's 20 touchdowns were the most by a Tulane signal-caller since 2012 and are tied for 10th in a single season all-time at Tulane. Pratt's 20 touchdown passes led the nation among all true freshman quarterbacks.
Pratt also established himself as a strong leader, as he guided the Green Wave to four wins in their final five regular season games, including a win over 25th-ranked Army – Tulane's first win over a nationally-ranked opponent in over 30 years. He also played a key role in guiding the Green Wave to their third straight bowl game.
