Bowling Remains at No. 16 in NTCA February Poll

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Tulane bowling team will return to action this month continuing its run in the latest National Tenpin Coaches Association Top 25 poll as the No. 16 team in the country the organization announced on Thursday.

The Green Wave, one of seven teams from the Southland Bowling League represented in the new poll, earned 328 total points in the ranking this month, staying put at No. 16 for the second consecutive month.

Tulane is 35-29 overall on the season, coming off of its best finish of the year last month at the Stormin' Blue & White Vegas Classic. The squad finished fifth in the event out of 13 teams, earning a pair of all-tournament team performances by Madison McCall and Amelia Vasquez.

McKendree earned 32 of a possible 34 first-place votes in the poll to remain at No. 1, while Sam Houston State stayed put a No. 2, and Nebraska at No. 3. Vanderbilt earned two first-place votes and moved up one spot from fifth to fourth, while Arkansas State moved down from four to five.

Sam Houston State, Vanderbilt, Arkansas State, Stephen F. Austin, Youngstown State and Louisiana Tech are the other schools represented in the poll from the SBL.

Tulane will be back in action this weekend, traveling to Orlando, Florida, to take part in the Wildcat Classic hosted by Bethune-Cookman.
