
McCall Named Honorable Mention All-American by NTCA

NEW ORLEANS - Junior Madison McCall of the Tulane bowling team was named Honorable Mention All-American, the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) announced today.

McCall led the Green Wave this season with 8,172 pins and a 20.01 frame average. She was 10th in the Southland Conference in frame average and posted the sixth-highest frame fill percentage at 86.4 percent.

The Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, native posted her highest finish of the season at the Mid-Winter Invitational as she placed third. McCall knocked down 1,108 pins for a frame average of 20.68 at the tournament.

She had two other top 10 finishes at the Stormin' Blue and White Vegas Classic and the Wildcat Classic. McCall placed fourth at the Blue and White Vegas Classic with 1,170 pins and a season-high 22.04 frame average. At the Wildcat Classic, the junior placed seventh as she knocked down 1,181 pins. She posted a 19.14 frame average at the tournament.

McCall finished the regular season ninth in the Southland Conference in Player Composite Performance Index at 70.92 percent. McCall was also clutch for the Green Wave as closed the season eighth in the Southland in baker format 10th frame scoring average.

As a team, Tulane logged four top 10 finishes on the season. McCall earned All-Southland Conference Second Team earlier this month.

Tulane has now had a bowler earn NTCA honors the past five seasons.
