
Tulane Women’s Bowling Heads to Sonic Boom Invitational

NEW ORLEANS - The No. 16-ranked Tulane University bowling team will head to Jackson, Mississippi, for three days of action at the Sonic Boom Invitational hosted by Jackson State University. The three-day event begins Friday and will be held at Fannin Lanes.

Competition on Friday beginning at 11:00 a.m. Teams will compete in five sets throughout the day. On Saturday, the Wave will compete in five traditional game matches beginning at 9:35 a.m.

Sunday will consist of three best out of seven games with total pin amounts from the previous two days seeding the bracket. Sunday's matches will begin at 8:25 a.m. and awards will be announced at 1:30 p.m.

This weekend's play will be a return to action for the No. 16-ranked Green Wave. The team last competed in October at the Dezy Strong Classic in Long Island, New York where they clinched third.

Senior Madison McCall led the way with the highest scoring average on the team (226.80). Sophomore Morgan Gitlitz finished in third overall with a 220.60 average. Both McCall and Gitlitz were named to the All-Tournament team.
