Swimming & Diving Newcomer Spotlight: Charlotte Frank

The Tulane swimming & diving team will welcome six newcomers to New Orleans for the 2021-22 season. In the fifth incoming spotlight series, Green Wave fans are able to get to know more about freshman Charlotte Frank.

What are you looking forward to most about being a part of the Tulane swimming and diving team?
"I'm looking forward most to getting to know all the girls and coaches, and becoming a part of the Tulane swim and dive family!"
What part of living in New Orleans excites you the most?
"I'm so excited to explore the beautiful city, warm weather and the endless possibilities of things to do!"
What made you want to come to Tulane?
"When I went down to visit, I got to meet some of the girls on the team. Everyone was so nice and welcoming, I felt like I was exactly where I was meant to be."
What do you plan on majoring in?
"I'm currently undecided."
Who is your biggest inspiration?
"My biggest inspiration would have to be my parents. I wouldn't be anywhere near where I am today without them."
What are three songs on your pregame playlist?
"'Club Can't Handle Me,' 'Jordan Belfort,' and 'Memories' by Kid Cudi."
If you could be any TV/movie/book character, who would you be and why?
"Definitely Elena from The Vampire Diaries so I could be around the Salvatore brothers."
What's an accomplishment that you're most proud of?
"I'm most proud of winning states. The meet right before that was terrible, I failed two dives and was super discouraged. Instead of letting that bring me down, I used it to push myself harder in practice, and I ended up having my best meet of my life."
If you could eat at only one restaurant for the rest of your life, what would it be?
"Panera Bread 100 percent. I could never get sick of their mac and cheese."
