The Tulane swimming & diving team will welcome six newcomers to New Orleans for the 2021-22 season. In the fourth incoming spotlight series, Green Wave fans are able to get to know more about freshman Avery Francis.

What are you looking forward to most about being a part of the Tulane swimming and diving team?
"I am most looking forward to being on an all girls team so that I don't have to deal with boys."
What part of living in New Orleans excites you the most?
"The culture and the constant festivities in New Orleans is what I am most excited about."
What made you want to come to Tulane?
"I wanted to come to Tulane because I enjoy the environment and student culture, and appreciate the quality of education."
What do you plan on majoring in?
"I intend to major in pre-med/biochemistry."
What's something that not many people know about you?
"I have six siblings."
What are three songs on your pregame playlist?
"'Only,'Â 'Habits' and 'Don't Trust Me.'"
If you could be any TV/movie/book character, who would you be and why?"I would be Tris from 'Divergent' so that I could marry Theo James."
What's an accomplishment that you're most proud of?
"My most proud accomplishment is winning 6A Texas Regionals."
If you could eat at only one restaurant for the rest of your life, what would it be?
"I would eat at Raising Cane's every day for the rest of my life."
