Jul 13, 2021 | Women's Bowling
In the next installment of our 2021 Summer Spotlight Series, Tulane Athletics highlights bowling's Madison McCall.Â
What are your plans for the summer?
"This summer I got to go home for a little bit right after graduation, but I am back in New Orleans now for an internship and training. I also have some plans to visit friends and family when I can throughout the summer that I am excited about."
Â
What are you focusing most on to improve your game this summer?
"During practices, this summer I have been really focusing on my versatility. This will really help me adapt my game quickly to changing situations we run into during tournaments."
Where are you working and what are you doing for work?
"I have an internship with McCormick & Company this summer. I am working as a Process Engineer on a project that is helping to improve the overall efficiency of a few of the production lines at the Zatarain's Brand plant."Â
What have you learned from your summer job?
"I have learned a lot about implementing skills I've learned from sport, like teamwork and communication, into a workplace environment. I work alongside a team of other engineers and technicians so being able to work and communicate efficiently with them has been key for me so far."
What did you enjoy most about last season?
"Looking back on last season, I am just extremely grateful for the opportunity to compete and make memories with the team given the pandemic. I think the memories made, from all the adversity we had to overcome, will last a lifetime."
