NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane University Athletics Department released its 2020-21 Academics Annual Report which recognizes the accomplishments of the Green Wave student-athletes for their efforts in the classroom and the community.

2020-21 Tulane Athletics Highlights
- Tulane posted a department grade point average of 3.261.
- The cross country team earned the highest team GPA for the men's sports with a 3.429.
- The bowling team posted the best team GPA for the women's sports, finishing with a 3.797.
- Seventeen Green Wave student-athletes graduated summa cum laude, magna cum laude or cum laude.Â
- The university's Dean's List included 101 student-athletes.Â
- Student-athletes completed 6,100 hours of community service, up from 4,700 last year.Â
- Each athletics program participated in at least one community service endeavor.
-Â The Green Wave ended the year No. 1 in hours completed amongst all NCAA Division I athletics departments.
- Eight Tulane athletic programs ranked in the top five nationally in community service hours in their respective sports while four teams finished in first place (baseball, men's basketball, beach volleyball, swimming and diving).
- Men's tennis, volleyball, football, women's golf, women's tenis, women's track and field and women's basketball all finished in the top 10 nationally in their respective sports.Â
