
No. 17 Bowling Ends First Day of the Colonial Lanes Classic In Seventh

Harahan, Louisiana – In a very competitive and talented field, the No. 17 nationally ranked Tulane University bowling team ended the first day of the Colonial Lanes Classic, held at Colonial Lanes, with a 2-3 record and in seventh place on Friday.
The Green Wave posted a five-game average of 186. Tulane topped 900 points four times on the afternoon including a high of 995 against Louisiana Tech.
The program started the day with an 995-941 victory over Louisiana Tech. The second game saw Tulane fall to Jackson State by a 917-907 score. The third game was a 1065-934 loss to North Carolina A&T. In the fourth game, Tulane picked up the 872-852 victory over Florida A&M. The fifth game was a close 947-941 defeat against Southern University.
The program has five traditional games on Saturday starting at 8:55 a.m. Tulane starts game one in lanes 9-10 against Alabama A&M. The second game will be against UAB in lanes 13-14. The third game is a Tulane and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore match-up in lanes 17-18. The fourth game sees the Green Wave facing off with Stephen F. Austin in lanes 19-20. The fifth and final game of the day is a pairing of Tulane squaring off against Lincoln Memorial in lanes 5-6.
