No. 17 Bowling Goes 4-1 On the First Day of the Dezy Strong Classic

Coram, New York – The No. 17 nationally ranked Tulane University bowling had a steady opening day at the Dezy Strong Classic at Coram Country Lanes in going 4-1 overall and totaling 4,610 pins on Friday. The program is one of only four that had four or more team wins during baker play and currently sit in seventh place.
The Green Wave posted a five-game average of 184.4. Tulane topped 900 pins in four of the five matches.
The program started the day with a 921-828 victory over Merrimack. The second game saw Tulane earn a 921-876 victory over St. Francis Brooklyn. The third game was a close 930-921 victory over host institution Adelphi. In the fourth game, Tulane picked up the 986-745 victory over Molloy. The fifth game was a 934-852 loss to Mount St. Mary's.
The program has five traditional games on Saturday starting at 8:30 a.m.
