
No. 17 Bowling Finishes 11th at the Hawk Classic

Millsboro, Delaware – The No. 17 nationally ranked Tulane University bowling team went 2-1 on the final day of the Hawk Classic at Millsboro Lanes on Sunday to finish in 11th place.
Tulane ended the competitive tournament with a combined record of 8-5 over the course of the three days of competition. Morgan Gitlitz's play highlighted traditional play for the Green Wave as she placed third overall with 1,030 points to make her second All-Tournament Team of the season.
The program started the day falling to Mount St. Mary's 4-2. The team won the second and the fourth games in the head-to-head matchup.
The team then came up with a 4-2 victory over Morgan State. The program won the first, fourth, fifth and sixth games in the head-to-head matchup.
The program finished its tournament with a 4-2 victory over Wilmington to capture 11thh place overall. The team won the third, fourth, fifth and sixth games in the head-to-head matchup.
Tulane next competes to start the spring in Las Vegas at the Storm' Blue and White Classic from Jan. 8-10, 2023.The team ended the fall with a 40-25 record, three All-Tournament selections (Amelia Vasquez – Rattler Classic & Morgan Gitlitz – Dezy Strong and the Hawk Classic) and also the Southland Bowling League's October Newcomer of the Month (Mia Stolakis).
