Mia Stolakis Named Southland Bowling League’s October Newcomer of the Month

Frisco, Texas – Tulane University freshman Mia Stolakis was named the Southland Bowling League's October Newcomer of the Month, the league office announced on Friday.
Stolakis had a strong first month for the No. 17 nationally ranked Tulane bowling team in aiding the program to an overall record of 26-13. She currently ranks third on the club with her 1,966 total pins and 196.6 average. She has the team's highest individual pin total in a game this season with her 266 against the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (10/15). In the first month of action, Stolakis has four individual games of over 200 pins. She placed seventh among all 57 competitors at the Rattler Classic with 997 total pins and a 199.4 average in helping the team place second overall. Stolakis totaled 803 pins in four games for an average of 200.75 pins at the Colonial Lanes Classic as the team placed seventh among the nationally ranked field. Stolakis also contributed to Tulane finishing fifth at the Dezy Strong Classic among 18 competing teams.
The program is currently on the road and on the lanes at the Track Kat Klash from Nov. 4-6 at Emerald Lanes in Houston, Texas. The team competes starting at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday and 8:20 a.m. on Sunday.
