NEW ORLEANS – The championship journey came to a close for the Tulane University duo of Charlotte Russell and Lahari Yelamanchili at the ITA Fall National Championships on Friday while another trio of Green Wave members opened play at the Ragin' Cajuns Invitational with six victories.

Russell and Yelamanchili took the court against Margaux Maquet and Lucia Quiterio from UNC Charlottte in the quarterfinals of the consolation bracket Friday in San Diego, California. The Green Wave duo lost the first set 2-6 but responded with a battle in the second set.
