Nov 8, 2022 | Football
NEW ORLEANS - The Tulane Football program was tabbed 17th Tuesday evening in the second release of rankings by the College Football Playoff committee.
The Green Wave (8-1 overall, 5-0 American Athletic Conference) was ranked 17th and 18th, respectively, by the Associated Press and AFCA USA Today Coaches Poll on Sunday.
The program will host UCF (7-2, 4-1) Saturday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. inside Yulman Stadium. The Knights are currently ranked 22nd by the CFP.
Saturday's contest will also be the first time the Green Wave, as a ranked AP program, will host another AP-ranked school since a 1949 meeting with LSU.
Anish Shroff (play-by-play), Brock Osweiler (analyst) and Taylor McGregor (reporter) will handle the ESPN2 broadcast duties.
Saturday's radio call along the Tulane Sports Network from Learfield will begin at 1:30 p.m. and will conclude roughly 45 minutes following the conclusion of the game. 104.1 The Spot will carry this broadcast. It can also be accessed via the Tulane Athletics and Varsity Network apps (both platforms are free). On satellite radio, the game can be heard on Sirius XM Channels 113, 201 or 964. Corey Gloor (play-by-play), Steve Barrios (analyst) and Maddy Hudak (reporter) will handle that commentary.
As always, those interested in attending Saturday's game can purchase tickets at TulaneTix.com.
