Feb 20, 2022 | Women's Bowling
JONESBORO- The Tulane University women's bowling team had a good day at the lanes on the final day of the Mid-Winter Classic at Arkansas State in Jonesboro as they finished 10th overall for the weekend.
The Green Wave finished the day 2-1 in the three Baker format matches. The Wave finished the weekend with a 6-7 record. The Wave averaged 195.3 pins per game in the classic.
"The team learned a lot from the past three days," head coach Hayley Veitch said. "The scoring pace was drastically higher from last weekend and unfortunately we didn't keep up with it. On a positive note, we had a couple of good wins against teams in our conference."
The Wave beat Lincoln Memorial University in the first match of the day by a score of 1245-1129.
Tulane took down Lewis University in the second match 1148-1127. The Wave won four of the six head-to-head games.
The Green Wave's only loss of the day was to top-ranked McKendree University. The match finished 1361-1190
UP NEXT: The Green Wave has three weeks off before the USBC Sectionals on March 11-13th.
