No. 23/24 Football’s Start Time and Network Revealed For Rice

NEW ORLEANS – The kickoff time and network for No. 23/24 Tulane football's next road game, Oct. 28, against Rice University was recently announced by the American Athletic Conference (AAC).
The Green Wave and Owls will face off against each other at 3 p.m. on Oct. 28. The game will be shown live on ESPN2. This will be the first time that Tulane and Rice have squared off as AAC rivals although this will be the 37th meeting all-time between the schools. Rice leads the series by a 20-15-1 count with this year's contest being the first since the 2013 season. Rice has won the last three games of the series and five of the last six dating back to 2008.
Tulane's defense leads the conference and is ranked sixth nationally in rushing yards allowed per game at 77.7. The squad also leads the conference and ranks eighth in the country in sacks at 3.33 per game. The program is placed second in the AAC in turnovers gained at 13. Individually, Lance Robinson leads the conference and is placed third in the country with his four interceptions. Darius Hodges and Patrick Jenkins are ranked second and third in the conference in sacks, respectfully. Valentino Ambrosio leads the conference with his 1.5 field goals per game. He also ranks second in the league in field goal percentage. Lawrence Keys III is placed second in the AAC in yards per catch at 18.91. Keys is also eighth in the league with his five touchdowns scored. Makhi Hughes is placed third in the conference in rushing with 498 yards. He is fifth in the league with four rushing touchdowns.
This week the Tulane football team returns home to host North Texas for a sold-out Homecoming Game at 2:30 p.m. at Yulman Stadium in a contest that will also be shown live on ESPN2
