
Football’s Michael Pratt Makes Top 25 Of Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Watch List

Baltimore, MD – Tulane football quarterback Michael Pratt has been selected to the pared-down top 25 of the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Education Foundation announced recently.
The Golden Arm Award annually recognizes the top senior or upperclassman quarterback set to graduate with their class. The semifinalists, finalists, and award recipients are selected by the distinguished Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Selection Committee, a group of prominent college football journalists, commentators, announcers, and former players, Candidates are chosen based on player performance on-and-off the field.
Pratt is 46-for-61 this season for 668 yards with eight passing touchdowns and one interception. He also has 26 attempts for 112 yards and a score on the ground. He broke the Tulane career touchdown passing mark this season and has now thrown 76 career touchdown passes to go along with 25 rushing scores. His 101 touchdowns responsible for are also a school record.
The pared down list includes Jayden Daniels (LSU), Jaxson Dart (Ole Miss), Quinn Ewers (Texas), Dillon Gabriel (Oklahoma), Sam Hartman (Notre Dame), Will Howard (Kansas State), KJ Jefferson (Arkansas), Devin Leary (Kentucky), Riley Leonard (Duke), Drake Maye (North Carolina), Grayson McCall (Coastal Carolina), J.J. McCarthy (Michigan), Joe Milton III (Tennessee), Bo Nix (Oregon), Michael Penix Jr. (Washington), Michael Pratt (Tulane), Spenser Rattler (South Carolina), Austin Reed (Western Kentucky), Garrett Shrader (Syracuse), Kedon Slovis (BYU), Taulia Tagovailoa (Maryland), Jordan Travis (Florida State), Tyler Van Dyke (Miami), Cam Ward (Washington State) and Caleb Williams (USC).
The 2023 award winner will be presented with the Golden Arm Award trophy by The Johnny Unitas Educational Foundation President, Johnny Unitas Jr., as well as other notable attendees at the Golden Arm Banquet and celebration at the Four Seasons Hotel in Baltimore, Maryland on Thursday, December 7 2023.
After defeating UAB 35-23 last Saturday to start league play, the Green Wave will next be in action on Friday, Oct. 13, when the program takes on Memphis at 6 p.m. on ESPN.
