Women’s Basketball Adds Three Signees For 2024-25
Nov 8, 2023 | Women's Basketball
New Orleans – Tulane's head women's basketball coach Lisa Stockton announced the addition of Ana Baker, Kendall Sneed and Karma Wynn as signees for the class of 2024.
"We are very excited about the signing of these talented guards," Coach Stockton explained. "They each bring different skill sets that will transfer well to the college level."
Baker is a 6'1" shooting guard out of Vandegrift High School in Austin, Texas. As a junior, while serving as one of the team's captains for the Lady Vipers, Baker averaged 10 points a game with game highs of 19 points, five made threes and 12 rebounds. Baker is ranked No. 23Â in the 2024 class by the Premier Basketball Report in the state of Texas. Additionally, she played three years on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit and led her team to the 2023 Adidas Championship Game.
Baker is the daughter of Nick and Tara Baker. She is the youngest of three children with an older sister and brother. She intends to major in biology at Tulane.
"Ana Baker is a skilled guard with good size and ability to shoot the three," Coach Stockton described. "She is a super competitor who can play multiple positions."
Sneed is a 5'9"Â guard from Hardin-Jefferson High School in Beaumont, Texas. As a junior, she averaged 19.6 points, 6.8 rebounds and 6.2 steals per game in leading her program to a 32-6 record and an appearance in the Class 4A Regional Final. Sneed is ranked No. 20 in the 2024 class by the Premier Basketball Report in the state of Texas. She also excels in the classroom and is a member of the A/B Honor Roll and the National Honor Society.
Sneed is the daughter of LaShawnda and Omar Sneed. She has an older brother and two younger brothers. Her father was a standout at the University of Memphis and played professional basketball for 15 years before working as a collegiate coach. Sneed intends to major in either exercise science or sport management at Tulane with career aspirations of being either a physical therapist or a collegiate coach.
"Kendall Sneed is an outstanding combo guard," Coach Stockton stated. "She has impressive defensive instincts and great ability to score."
Wynn is a 5'4" guard out of Pelham High School in Birmingham, Alabama. She is the first Pelham girls' basketball player to ever commit to play Division I basketball. Wynn is coming off a junior year in 2022-23 for the Panthers where she averaged 8.3 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game. She helped Pelham reach the Elite Eight in the 6A state playoffs. She led the basketball program at Pelham to the Final Four as sophomore and Sweet 16 as a freshman. Among her other honors are being part of the Math Honor Society, National English Honor Society and A/B Honor Roll.
Wynn is the daughter of Tracie and Anthony Wynn. She is the second oldest of four children and intends to major in business at Tulane.
"Karma Wynn is a playmaking guard who makes everyone around her better," Coach Stockton said. "She is an energy player who brings toughness and tenacity to the court."
The Green Wave started the 2023 season with a thrilling 68-57 victory over Stetson on Nov. 6. The program was led to victory by Kyren Whittington's 16 points.
