May 1, 2023 | Women's Swimming and Diving
NEW ORLEANS – Tulane women's swimming and diving head coach Amanda Caldwell has announced the hiring of Justin Moser as the team's Dive Coach.
"I want to thank everyone on our support staff and Associate AD for Sports Performance Amanda Robinson for their assistance in this search," Caldwell said. "Their continued support of our program has helped us bring in Justin, who brings a great collegiate foundation in coaching and his own experiences as a student-athlete. His holistic approach to coaching the full person and focusing on the fundamentals matches what we do here at Tulane. I am looking forward to the progress our divers will make with him."
Â
He recently finished up three seasons as the Men's and Women's Diving coach at Niagara University, one that saw the Purple Eagles capture the 2022 Women's Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship. He also coached one of his divers to break two program records.
Â
"I am very excited and honored to be joining the Tulane Swimming and Diving staff", Moser said. "I would like to thank Amanda Caldwell and Tulane Athletics for giving me this opportunity. I can't wait to get to work with our team."
Moser spent the 2019-20 season as the diving coach for the Buffalo State men's and women's diving programs. In addition to his coaching responsibilities, he also assisted with recruiting and program development. Â
Moser served as the head varsity diving coach for the North Tonawanda City School District from 2016-20, coaching both the girls' and boys' teams.
Moser has also worked as a lifeguard, lifeguard supervisor and aquatics coordinator with Town of Tonawanda Youth, Parks and Recreation. In addition to teaching swimming lessons and training lifeguards, he helped maintain and operate the pool, managed a large staff and helped assist the aquatics director with operations.
During the summers of 2018 and 2019, Moser was a resident director and coach at RipFest Diving Camp, where he studied under John Wingfield. He was able to coach divers from all over the world, as well as ensuring other camp staff were performing their jobs correctly and efficiently.
Moser was a member of the diving team at Buffalo State from 2016-19 and was a two-time NCAA qualifier. He graduated in 2019 with a degree in business administration with a concentration in management and a minor in coaching.
