Bowling Concludes Day 2 at Destination Orlando

ORLANDO – Tulane bowling competed in its second day of competition today at Destination Orlando and performed in its first traditional matches of the season. Tulane moved up to 17th place after today's competition, now having a total of 9,097 points after scoring 4,654 during traditional matches.Â
Tulane won their traditional match against Wright State University, winning 919 to 801 during their third showdown of the day. Paige Matiasek led the way against the Raiders, earning 218 points toward the Wave's win. Matiasek also accomplished the Green Wave's highest single-game score of the day, a 236 against Louisiana Tech.Â
Mia Stolakis followed up against Wright State with 212 pins and ended the day as Tulane's highest-ranked bowler. She secured 49th place out of 174 after totaling 941 points for the day and bowling in all five matches. Cassidy Williams achieved 175 points against Wright State, while Blanca Fraticelli gave 171 and Nancy Kohut 143.Â
The Green Wave fell in its remaining four matches, finishing with final scores of 925-1,005 versus Alabama State, 937-998 versus Sacred Heart, 944-1,001 versus Louisiana Tech, and 929-1,098 versus Vanderbilt.Â
No. 1 Jacksonville State remains in first, while No. 2 Arkansas State eclipsed No. 4 Vanderbilt to claim second for the day.Â
Tomorrow, the Green Wave will take on Alabama A&M at 7:25 a.m. (CT) in the final three 4-of-7 baker matches
