Bowling Wins Four for Successful Southern Queens Day Two

BATON ROUGE – Tulane Bowling had a triumphant second day of the Southern Queens tournament, winning four matches and raising its total tournament score to 8911.
The Green Wave's single loss was in their opening match against Alabama State where they fell 881-835.Â
Tulane defeated Texas State 770-632 during their second match, with Nancy Kohut leading the way for the Wave with 177 pins. Juanelyz Solla followed with 161, Mia Stolakis with 149, Cassidy Williams with 146, and Nancy Kohut with 137.
Next, Tulane rematched Alabama State and redeemed their initial loss, this time defeating the Hornets 907-810. Blanca Fraticelli led the effort, bowling an impressive 243 pins. Stolakis followed up with a critical 234 pins; Williams contributed 155, Linnea Holcomb 143, and Solla 161.Â
In the fourth, Tulane took on Grambling State and beat them 909-751. Nancy Kohut toppled a team-leading 211 pins and Fraticelli succeeded with 205. Williams knocked down 176, Holcomb 166, and Stolakis 151.Â
Finally, the Green Wave decisively defeated Jackson State 1024-784. Stolakis had an outstanding 266 pins and Kohut posted 223. Fraticelli hit 186, Holcomb 175, and Williams 174.
Tomorrow, Sunday, Oct. 26, Tulane will conclude the tournament with three 4-of-7 baker matches beginning at 8:20 a.m. Awards will follow the conclusion of competition around 1:30 p.m.Â
