Bowling Wins Four For Track Kat Klash Day Two

HOUSTON – Tulane Bowling saw the second day of competition for the Track Kat Klash today, where it won four of five matches and landed two bowlers in the top 25.
Tulane won matches against Maryville, Alabama State, Oklahoma Christian, and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, only dropping their first match of the day against third-place Stephen F. Austin. Nancy Kohut knocked down 968 pins and averaged 193.60 per match to become ranked number 17 out of 132 bowlers. Emma Fetterman totaled 953 and averaged 190.60 per match to become ranked 22. She also helped to secure Tulane's wins in the third and fourth matches thanks to her strikes.
Tulane fell to Stephen F. Austin 882-823 but was led by Blanca Fraticelli's team-high score of 212. Paige Matiasek followed up with 165, while Fetterman offered 164 and Kohut 160. Mia Stolakis rounded out the team score with 122.Â
Tulane defeated Maryville 916-883 and was again led by Fraticelli, who knocked down 226. Matiasek rallied to give 198, while Fetterman bowled 178 and Kohut 170. Finally, Cassidy Williams scored 144.Â
The Green Wave beat Alabama State 933-920 in the third match, this time led by Fetterman's 213 pins. Fraticelli stayed consistent in her support and hit 195 pins while Kohut closely followed with 192. Finally, Matiasek gave 170 and Linnea Holcomb gave 163 to seal the Wave's win.Â
Tulane toppled Oklahoma Christian 897-896 in the fourth, led once more by Kohut, who had 213. Fetterman bowled 189, Holcomb 177, Matiasek 161, and Fraticelli 157.Â
Finally, Kohut led the Wave to their final win of the day: a victory over UMES 936-825. Kohut's 233 pins was the highest score Tulane bowled on Saturday. She was again succeeded by Fetterman, who provided 209. Williams returned with 196, Holcomb hit 165, and Fraticelli notched 133 to finish the day.Â
Tulane ended the day in seventh place and will compete for fifth place in the tournament tomorrow.Â
