No. 12 Bowling Places Sixth After 2-1 Record On The Final Day of Flyer Classic

Lockport, Illinois – The No. 12 nationally ranked Tulane University bowling team went 2-1 on the final day of the Flyer Classic on Sunday at the Strike and Spare II in Illinois. The team finished in sixth place in a field of 20 teams with an overall record of 8-5. The team totaled 12, 297 pins over the course of the three days of the tournament with an average of 183.5.
Tulane started the day with a 4-2 victory over Wright State. The individual game scores were 180-156, 167-161, 172-153, 178-186, 156-211 and 242-135.
The team defeated McKendree in the second match of the day. The individual game scores were 180-149, 168-162, 184-201, 164-258, 174-167 and 207-175.
The Green Wave ended the tournament with a 4-1 loss to Sacred Heart. The individual game scores were 165-242, 168-199, 234-233, 154-204 and 204-210.
Next, Tulane heads to the Stallings Invitational from Feb. 23-25 in Greensboro, North Carolina.
