AAC Releases Green Wave’s 2024 Football Schedule

NEW ORLEANS – The American Athletic Conference unveiled its 2024 football schedule on Thursday and, with it, the slate for Tulane.
The Green Wave will open the season at home against Southeastern Louisiana on Thursday, August 29 and will follow that with another home date against Kansas State on September 7.
The program's first road dates will round out the non-conference schedule with trips to Oklahoma on September 14 and at Louisiana on September 21.
Oklahoma (15th) and Kansas State (18th) finished last season ranked in the Associated Press Top 25. The Sooners narrowly hung on to defeat Tulane at home by the score of 40-35 on September 4, 2021 in a game that was moved from New Orleans due to Hurricane Ida. The Green Wave handed the Wildcats their first loss of the 2022 season (17-10) in Manhattan on September 17.
The 2024 home conference schedule consists of South Florida on September 28 (Hall of Fame weekend), Rice (October 19), Temple (Homecoming on November 9) and Memphis (Thursday, November 28).
The road conference dates will be UAB on October 5, North Texas on October 26, Charlotte on Thursday, October 31 and Navy on November 16.
Each of the 14 teams in The American will play eight conference games in 2024. The top two teams in the final single-division regular-season standings will meet Friday, December 6 in the 10th American Athletic Conference Football Championship. That contest, which has been broadcast on ABC in each of the last nine years, will be televised in prime time.
Kickoff times and television designations for the first three weeks of the season, as well as the season-long weeknight games, will be finalized by June 1. The rest of the schedule will fall under the customary 12-day and six-day selection processes.
