
Green Wave Announces Six Promotions

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane's Ben Weiner Director of Athletics Chair David Harris announced six promotions on Wednesday. They are as follows:
Dr. Jada Buckner-Greer, Tulane's Associate Athletic Director, Student Athlete Enhancement
Mike Miller, Associate Athletic Director, Revenue Generation
George Marx, Assistant Athletic Director, Ticket Sales and Service
Brian Harding, Associate Director, Equipment
Isabel Housman, Associate Director, Business Operations
Maddie Wadkins, Associate Director, Facilities and Event Management
"These talented individuals have been instrumental in moving Tulane Athletics forward in its quest to provide its student athletes and staff the support necessary to be champions both in and out of the classroom," Harris said. "They are extremely deserving of this recognition and I join them in anticipation of an outstanding 2024-25 school year."
Dr. Jada Buckner-Greer
Buckner-Greer was previously promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Enhancement in March 2022. She joined Tulane Athletics as the Athletics Certification Officer in October 2017 and has also served the department in the role of Associate Director for NCAA Compliance. She joined the Green Wave after serving as a postgraduate intern for academic and membership affairs at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (2016-2017).
Currently, Dr. J oversees the W.A.V.E. Student-Athlete Enhancement Program. This program champions the holistic success of all Tulane student-athletes by providing them personal, professional, and leadership development as well as coordinating the athletic department's community service endeavors. Community service efforts under this program have led the Athletic Department to a Top-25 finish in the NCAA Helper Helper challenge for the past eight years (#2 in 2023). She also serves as the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) advisor for the American Athletic Conference and Tulane Athletics.
Dr. J has been active in multiple leadership programs and positions at Tulane and throughout the membership. She has participated in Tulane's Anti-Racism Leadership Program and currently serves as an active member of the Athletic Department's Strategy for Tomorrow and Green Wave Justice for All committees. She has participated in N4A's Professional Development Institute: Student-Athlete Development Track. She currently serves as the Chair for N4A's LGBTQ+ Committee.
Dr. J is a former women's basketball student-athlete at Nova Southeastern University where she was a co-captain for the Sharks' women's basketball program. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science in 2012. She also completed her Master of Arts degree in Exercise Physiology and Sport Performance in 2014 as well as her Doctor of Education in Global Sport Leadership in May 2023, both at East Tennessee State University.
Dr. J is a member of the National Association of Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals (N4A).
Mike Miller
Within Miller's new role, he leads the Tulane Ticket Office and the Green Wave Club Annual Fund, focusing on increasing revenue through strategic planning for athletic giving and ticket sales.
Miller was previously promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Ticket Sales and Service in February of 2022. He led the Tulane Athletics ticket office to new revenue heights, which includes a 167% revenue growth in football for FY24.
Miller previously worked as an athletics ticket sales coordinator at Lamar University, where he managed ticket office execution of all sales-related operations including invoicing, renewals, promotions and revenue goals.
Prior to Lamar, Miller was an account executive at Daytona International Speedway from June of 2014 to March of 2015 and was a premium sales intern at Walt Disney World Resort from 2013 to 2014.
Miller earned his bachelor's degree in business administration with a minor in sports studies at East Carolina University in May of 2010 before completing his MBA at his alma mater in August of 2014. He worked as an athletics game day staff member as an undergraduate at ECU, was a member of the marching band and was President of Kappa Kappa Psi, a national honorary band service fraternity.
George Marx
Following years of experience in the office during his time as a Tulane student, George Marx joined the Green Wave ticket staff full time in July 2019 as an Account Manager before being named the Assistant Director of Ticket Sales and Operations in 2021 and the Director of Ticket Operations in 2022.
Over the last eight years of working with the Ticket Office, Marx has gained valuable insight into Tulane's fan base while becoming proficient in Tulane's ticket sales and operations. He has worked to bring Tulane Athletics two of its highest seasons in ticket revenue and attendance, and he has consistently demonstrated leadership and dedication to enhancing the fan experience.
While earning his degree from Tulane, Marx was also an intern for the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation and worked in the box office of the New Orleans Baby Cakes during the 2018 season.
Marx earned his bachelor's degree in management from Tulane in May 2019, and his MBA from the Freeman School of Business in December 2022.
Brian Harding
Harding joined Tulane Athletics as Assistant Director of Equipment in October 2018.
Before heading to New Orleans, Harding worked for the East Tennessee State University men's basketball program as a graduate assistant. In this role, he worked to coordinate team travel, direct summer camps, organize scheduling of equipment inventory and recruiting as well as coordinate practice and game operations while assisting with practice drills on the court.
Harding also served as a teaching assistant in the ETSU Sport, Exercise, Recreation and Kinesiology Department, instructing undergraduate health and basketball courses while assisting professors with grading and administrative tasks.
Harding earned his Master's Degree in Sport Management from ETSU in May of 2018 after earning his Bachelor's Degree in Sport Management with a Coaching minor in May of 2016.
Isabel Housman
A native of Sebastopol, California, Housman is transitioning to Tulane's Business Operations department from the Equipment realm.
A 2022 Tulane University double major in philosophy and cognitive studies, Housman was previously named an Assistant Director of Equipment Operations at Tulane in the fall of 2023 a year after joining the department as a Graduate Assistant.
As an Equipment staffer, she managed football practice and assisted with Tulane's Cross Country, Track and Field, Sailing, Swimming and Diving, Women's Tennis, Women's Golf, Bowling and Cheerleading teams. She also helped run Wave Warehouse's in-person sales.
Maddie Wadkins
Wadkins is in her fourth year with the Green Wave's Facilities and Event Management department. In her current role, Wadkins oversees game and facility operations for the Tulane baseball and volleyball teams, as well as assist in game operations for the football and men's basketball programs. Additionally, she assists in the oversight of the Wilson Athletics Building and capital projects as well as facility enhancements for the department. Wadkins also oversees Turchin Stadium and the budget for the Facilities and Event Management office.
During her first year with the Green Wave, Wadkins served as the Graduate Assistant for the department. In this role she oversaw Tulane Volleyball, Tulane Men's Tennis, Tulane Women's Tennis, as well as the Game Operations Student Worker Program. Wadkins graduated from Tulane with a master's degree in Sports Studies in May of 2023.
Prior to joining the Green Wave, Wadkins received her undergraduate degree in sports administration, with a minor in business administration from Louisiana State University in May of 2021. During her time in Baton Rouge, she served as a student intern for LSU's Geaux Team assisting game managers with game operations and events.
Wadkins, a New Orleans native, is a graduate of St. Mary's Dominican High School.
