
Andrea Zeebe Leads Swimming On Opening Day of the National Invitational Championships

Ocala, Fla. – The Tulane swimming team was led by Andrea Zeebe on the opening day of the National Invitational Championships on Thursday, March 13, in Ocala, Fla. at the Florida Aquatics Swimming and Training Facility. The swim team totaled 44 points and are ranked 25th overall.
Zeebe was the team's highest finisher and had the most individual points as she took 12th in the 50 back with 25.29 to earn nine points. She was also part of the 400 medley relay team along with Paula Gaya Bisquerra, Varvara Gkiouzepa Petropoulou and Olcaytu Hatipoglu that swan a 3:45.48 to earn 22 points.
Lise Coetzee was 19th in the 500 free to take three points.
Gwen Shahboz earned a point in taking 20th in the 200 IM I2:03.88).
The 200 free relay team of Olcaytu Hatipoglu, Coetzee, Petropoulou and Charley Floyd picked up nine points in placing 32nd with 1:36.32.
Next Tulane continues competing on the second day of the National Invitational Championship on Friday with the 400 IM, 200 free, 100 breast, 800 free relay, 200 medley relay, 400 IM, 200 free, 100 breast and 800 free relay all on the docket.
