May 9, 2025 | Football
New Orleans – Following the conclusion of the 2025 NFL Draft, Tulane's football team saw seven of its former players sign rookie free agent contracts.

On Friday, April 25, Tulane's football team saw defensive back Caleb Ransaw selected in the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Ransaw was selected with the 88th pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars. His selection is the first time that a Tulane player has ever been selected by the Jaguars in the history of the franchise. He is the highest drafted Tulane player since the 2023 draft when running back Tyjae Spears was chosen 81st. He is the highest drafted defensive player from Tulane since 1987 when defensive back Eric Thomas was selected 49th overall (second round).
On Saturday, April 26, fellow defensive back Micah Robinson was selected in the seventh round by the Green Bay Packers with the 237th pick. It is also the fifth time in the last six years that the program has turned the feat. This is also the seventh time since 2004 that Tulane has had multiple players selected in a draft and the 39th time overall since 1937.

The two being selected marks the first time since 2021 that Tulane has had multiple defensive players selected in a draft (Cameron Sample – Cincinnati Bengals and Patrick Johnson – Philadelphia Eagles).
