
Tulane Athletics Celebrates Banner Year of Facility Enhancements in 2024-25

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane University Athletics capped off the 2024-25 academic year with a milestone series of facility upgrades, reinforcing its commitment to enhancing the student-athlete experience. From upgraded locker rooms and cutting-edge training environments to premium fan amenities, these projects underscore Tulane's continued investment in excellence both on and off the field.

This year, several major projects were completed, including the renovation of the James W. Wilson Center atrium, a new golf hitting facility, an baseball wet locker room, and the debut of the Libby and Robert Alexander Community Sailing Center. These additions mark another significant step forward in providing world-class support for Tulane student-athletes.

Across the Uptown campus, even more enhancements are in progress.

Upgrades at Yulman Stadium
Yulman Stadium will unveil a series of fan-focused improvements this August. New state-of-the-art LED lighting will transform night games with dynamic color effects and an elevated atmosphere. Fans can also look forward to The Uptown Terrace, a new West side loge seating option offering premium experiences.

Hertz Center
In August 2024, the Hertz Center's practice courts were fully resurfaced and redesigned, bringing new energy to daily team training. This summer, the facility's gymnasium also received a branding update to brighten and modernize the space. Additionally, the locker room for beach volleyball and bowling is being completely renovated to better serve the needs of both teams with enhanced storage, branding, and locker functionality.

Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse
Ahead of the upcoming basketball season, Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse received a full court redesign and resurface, blending a fresh aesthetic with visual elements that pay tribute to the city of New Orleans. Behind the scenes, the facility's training room is also undergoing upgrades to ensure top-tier medical care for all court sports.

Greer Field at Turchin Stadium
Greer Field at Turchin Stadium will soon feature updated outfield wall padding, enhancing both the appearance and safety of the playing environment.

Looking Ahead
More enhancements are on the horizon. The Goldring Tennis Center at University Square is on track for completion in spring 2026, and the indoor practice facility along Claiborne Avenue is scheduled to open this fall.
