Wave Starts Play at Blue Gray National Tennis Classic

MONTGOMERY, AL – Tulane has a quartet of players heading to Montgomery, Alabama for this weekend's Blue Gray National Tennis Classic.

Alec Gaudin, Asaf Friedler, Santiago Padilla Cote and Steven Rice will be in action for the Green Wave.

Also sending participants will be Alabama, Alabama State, Columbia, Georgia Tech, Memphis, South Alabama and Texas Tech.

Each school will have four athletes that will compete in two doubles matches and four singles matches (example: A/B vs. A/B, C/D vs. C/D, A vs A, B vs B, C vs. C, D vs. D).

Each match will count as one team point.

If the score is tied at the end of all four singles matches, each team will select one doubles team to compete in a 10-point tiebreaker to determine who moves on.

All results will be updated here. Play is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. CT on Friday.
