
Swimming Ends National Invitational Championships In 18th

OCALA, FL – Eliza Lennox won the 100 free to highlight the third and final day of the National Invitational Championships (NIC) on Saturday, March 14, at the FAST Facility in Ocala, Florida to help lead Tulane's swimming program. The team placed 18th overall of the 52 teams to score points with 206 tallies.
Lennox's victory in the 100 free came in a time of 49.28. She moved all the way up after placing seventh in the preliminaries of the event.
The 400 free relay team of Lise Coetzee, Varvara Gkiouzepa Petropoulou, Phoebe Johnson, and Lennox took fifth (3:21.88).
Petropoulou finished eighth in the 200 fly (2:00.75), while Johnson ranked 14th in the event with a 2:01.09.
Petropoulou placed 23rd in the 1000 free (16:56.98). Coetzee earned 28thh (17:05.42).
Gwen Shahboz was the squad's highest finisher in the 200 breast (2:17.34) in 23rd. She also led the team in the 100 free (58.90) in 59th.
Libby Brewer took 28th in the 1M dive (224.90 pts.).
The Tulane swimming and diving team now gets ready for off-season preparations and training.
