Tulane Lands Bids for ICSA Fleet Race Nationals

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane University sailing team has earned automatic bids as the SEISA conference champions to the 2026 ICSA Open and Women's Fleet Race National Championships. Both championships will be hosted by South Florida in St. Petersburg, Florida, with the Women's Championship running from May 15-18 followed by the Open Championship May 19-22.
The Tulane women's team will be the 10Â seed among 36 teams in the ICSA Women's Fleet Race National Championship. The Green Wave is one of two teams from the SEISA conference to earn a bid to the championship alongside Texas A&M and one of 12 teams to earn an automatic qualifier for the championship. Tulane finished second in the ICSA Women's Fleet Race Championship a season ago.
The Green Wave open team landed as the eight seed out of 36 teams in the ICSA Open Fleet Race National Championship. Tulane along with Texas A&M each earned a bid from the SEISA conference and enters the championship as an automatic qualifier. The Wave finished 15th in the ICSA Open Fleet Race Championships last season.
The ICSA Fleet Race Championships will be held at the SkyBeach Resort in St. Petersburg, Florida. Racing will take place on the waters of Tampa Bay beginning with the women's nationals on Thursday, May 14, followed by the open nationals starting on Monday, May 18.
