On this episode of THE CURRENT, Corey Gloor spoke with beach volleyball head coach Eyal Zimet along with student-athletes Molly Trodd and Skylar Ensign. The Green Wave beach volleyball team won the Conference USA championship this past weekend to earn a berth to the National Collegiate Beach Volleyball Championship. Both the conference championship and tournament appearance are firsts in program history.
Trodd and Ensign were named CUSA Pair of the Tournament. Tulane is the No. 14 seed in the 16-team bracket and enters as the No. 20 team in the AVCA coaches poll. The Wave will open with a first-round match-up against UCLA, ranked and seeded No. 3. The tournament is single elimination with Tulane's dual airing on ESPN2.
