Tulane Beach Volleyball Welcomes Four Signees from Portal

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane University head beach volleyball coach Eyal Zimet has rounded out the Green Wave roster for the upcoming 2026-27 season with the addition of four transfers. The defending Conference USA champions are welcoming Elly Beshears, Hannah Foor, Liv Johnson, and Kaydence Stormes to Uptown as the Wave gears up for a title defense.

"We are excited about the passion, skills, and work ethic they will bring, and they will fit right into our team culture with our incoming freshmen and returners. Beshears is a native of Naples, Florida, and comes to Tulane as a graduate student. Beshears began her collegiate career on the hardwood as a member of the indoor volleyball team at Emory, where she deposited 52 kills across 79 sets with 124 digs as an outside hitter. From there, she attended the University of Florida and competed on the club beach volleyball team for the Gators. Beshears graduated from Florida Cum Laude with a bachelor's degree in economics.

Foor is a native of Grafton, Ohio, who spent the past two seasons with Houston Christian. Foor redshirted as a true freshman in 2025 before seeing action across the top two flights in 2026 for the Huskies. She amassed 14 wins overall with six at the top flight and eight more at the No. 2 pairing. Foor attended St. Joseph Academy in high school and will join the Green Wave as a redshirt sophomore.

Johnson is a native of Dallas, Texas, and comes to the Wave as a graduate student from Loyola Marymount (LMU). Johnson touts 16 official wins in her career with the Lions after going 8-3 at flight No. 4 last season and 8-0 between flights three and four in 2025. She redshirted as a true freshman in 2023 and saw action in the exhibition pairing in 2024. During her high school career at Highland Park, she won the AAU Junior Olympics and P1440 Southern National Championships, both in 2020. She also placed third in the AVP Nationals in 2022.

Stormes is a native of Galt, California, who joins the roster as a graduate student from the University of San Francisco. During her career with the Dons, Stormes accrued over 40 wins, including a season record of 19 in the 2024 campaign. She added 13 victories as a junior before tallying 12 wins in 2026 as a senior. She boasts two ranked victories and was named a team captain during her senior campaign. Stormes is a three-time West Coast Conference all-academic honoree and was nominated for valedictorian at USF after capturing six dean's list selections.

The four incoming transfers combine with four incoming freshmen to mark eight total newcomers to the defending CUSA champion's roster. Zimet, the 2026 CUSA Coach of the Year, welcomes the eight newcomers to Uptown ahead of the 2026 fall slate of action in which the Wave will begin initial preparations for a title defense in the 2027 spring campaign.
