High School: Four-year letterman at Trinity Presbyterian where he saw time at fullback, defensive end and linebacker for coach Randy Ragsdale...helped lead the Wildcats to a combined 37-11 record with a 26-2 mark in district play, including a 7-0 performance in 4A-Region 2 as a freshman and in 3A-Region 3 as a senior, and advance to the playoffs all four years as a prepster...earned all-metro honors in each of final two seasons and was voted team captain as a senior...named honorable-mention all-state as a senior after posting 114 tackles, 14 sacks, six forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries...also voted team captain...as a junior, tallied 101 tackles and six sacks...had 70 tackles and three sacks as a sophomore...also lettered four years in track and field, and three times in basketball.
