Career: Three-year letter winner…has posted 20+ wins in each of her three seasons at Tulane…2-2 in pairs and 65-31 overall in duals…has seen time at the No. 1, 2, and three spots…played 32 games at the No. 1 spot with a record of 17-15, 43 games at the No. 2 spot with a record of 29-14 and 21 games at the No. 3 spot with a record of 19-2.
2017: Went 21-16 in her junior season with a record of 15-12 on court one alongside Madeline Mertz…started the year on an 8-1 run in the first two tournaments of 2017…19 of her 21 wins came in straight sets…played the remainder of the season on court two with partner Annie Shurtz…sealed the dual-clinching victory over No. 12 South Carolina (4/22) at the CCSA Conference Championships in Emerson, Georgia…closed out the season on a four-game winning streak.
2016: Ended the 2016 season with the third best overall record on the team, 23-8, and the second best overall team record, 23-8, with Madeline Mertz…Nguyen played all 31 games with Mertz and spent the majority of them at the No. 2 spot and racking up an 18-7 record including a five game win streak towards the end of the season with three of the five wins against top 25 teams.
2015: In her debut campaign, Nguyen tied her partner Madeline Mertz for the fourth most wins on the team with a 23-9 record ... Also tied for the most dual wins on the year at 21-7 ... Started the season at flight No. 1 (2-3), sliding down to flight No. 2 (5-3), before settling in at flight No. 3 (14-1) ... Tallied a 13-match win streak, the longest of anyone on the team in 2015 ... Picked up wins over pairs from top-10 schools Stetson and Georgia State ... Went 2-0 against Arizona State and Georgia State ... Went 2-2 at Fiesta on Siesta Key Tournament ... Earned 17 straight-set wins.
High School: Played both indoor and sand at Mira Costa, with the latter being under Beach Volleyball Hall of Famer/2000 Olympic gold medalist Eric Fonoimoana ... Won the Interscholastic Beach Volleyball League Pairs Championship in 2013 ... Helped lead the team to an IBVL title each of the last two seasons to go with a runner-up showing as a sophomore ... Finished first at the U16 California/Los Angeles Open and the AAU Tachikara Classic. Won gold at the AAU Los Angeles Regional Finals in 2012, the U16 Spring Classic in 2011, both the U14 California Regional and U16 AAU Regional Championship in 2010, and the AAU Junior National Beach Volleyball Championship in the U12 division in 2008 ...
